Personal Readiness - 3 hours
This 3 hour lecture is designed to introduce and stress to firefighters the importance of being mentally and physically ready for any emergency response that may happen. Firefighters need to be ready for action any time of the day and/or night, and this lecture will include many topics to help us get ready to roll.
Ladders For Life - 16 hours
This 16 hour class is designed for nothing but ladders, and everything to do with them. We provide information on scene size up, and the importance of ladder placement. We provide easy tips on 1 person throws, 2 person throws, with straight ladders and extension ladders.
Civilian Fire Rescue - 16 hours
This 16 hour class is designed to provide firefighters with various techniques on how to remove a victim from a structure. Search and rescue tips and skills are stressed with drags and pulls. Vent-enter-search will also be covered. This is a strictly search and rescue class.
“Firefighter Rescue & Survival” - 16 hours
This 16 hour class is designed to give firefighters information on how not to get themselves into trouble. We provide information on building construction, fire behavior, search tactics, scene size up, and communication between firefighters. We do many hands on skills including, search rope, ladder bail, window bail, window roll, rope bail, wire entanglement, and communication drills.
Engine Company Operations - 32 hours
This 32 hour class is all hose and water. We cover different hose loads, hose packs, and many different hose lays. Students must come prepared to pack hose, and be motivated to get involved in all aspects of the hose line. We show tips on how we can move hose easier and quicker.
Truck Company Operations - 32 hours
This 32 hour class is all truck work. We believe hands on is the best way to learn truck work, so that’s what you get. There are many functions of the truck and there are never enough people around to do it. It takes a special person to be a “Truckie”; we hope we can put a little of the “Truckie” attitude in you when you’re done with this class.
Engine & Truck “Ready 4 Runs” - 48 hours
This is our signature class. This is an advanced class with advanced techniques. Fun times and an education will be had by all. All we are going to say is there is engine work. Truck work. And burn time at the end.
